The late nights and clear skies make for fantastic sunset views here at The Penellen and we know how we like to spend our evenings but what about the rest of the day? With many outdoor events and activities now open in the region there’s plenty of options available for anybody looking to enjoy the beautiful weather.
Theme Park Lovers
Flambards Theme Park
Open throughout the Summer season, Flambards has a range of attractions, rides and family fun for all the family. Rollercoaster lovers will love Hornet, with other attractions a plenty for sun lovers. If the weather does turn, there is also a range of immersive indoor attractions available.
Camel Creek Adventure Park
Camel Creek is one of the vest best theme parks in Cornwall. This year-round attraction is one of the most popular things to do in Cornwall with kids. There are a huge range of theme park activities aimed at kids such as the clown coaster, Dissy Dina and Toddlers cottages.
Camel creek creatures a huge range of animal encounters too from the Meerkat enclosure to the reptile house and pets paddock.
Beach Lovers
The Penellen and Gold Self Catering Holiday Cottages are in the perfect location for beach lovers. Just 150 yards from the golden sands of Hayle Beach stretching all the way to Godrevy Lighthouse.
Just a short drive away is St Ives town with Porthgwidden Beach, probably the most popular beach location for visitors to St Ives, just a short walk from the Town Centre. It’s still very popular with families as it’s has a east facing beach and is classed as safe for swimming.
Theatre Lovers
The Minack Theatre is in full swing with a packed schedule of events over the next few months with evening shows ideal for enjoying cultured entertainment at the same time as enjoying the see breeze. Just don’t get too distracted by the dolphins in the background!
